Hi, I’m Brittany!
My highest priority as a clinician is cultivating a safe space of nonjudgment and empathy. I specialize in helping clients heal from past trauma and difficult life experiences that often show up present day as barriers to experiencing the fullness of life, or to connecting with self and others. I have the privilege of helping clients foster compassion, acceptance, and understanding for younger parts of self, or parts of self that were living in survival mode. From a place of self-compassion and acceptance, we can then work on examining and changing some beliefs and patterns that may have been formed as a result of those experiences.
With a client-centered approach, I utilize EMDR, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other experiential therapy techniques depending on your goals. I also enjoy incorporating art, music, and psychodrama at times, depending on the client's preference.
I know what it's like to question your worth, struggle with self-acceptance, and just not feel your best. You deserve to find joy, peace, and worthiness. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey of discovering (or re-discovering) those things. I believe we all have healing capabilities within us, and that we all need a little help sometimes.
A little more about me
I am an imperfect perfectionist dancing through life, also on a journey of healing and self-acceptance. My hobbies include spending time with my dog, cooking/eating delicious food, lifting weights, hiking, fishing, traveling, and attending as many concerts as I can. When I’m not working, on a regular day, you can find me on the couch with my husband the dog watching the latest House of Dragons episode. I consider my personal therapy style to be authentic, warm, engaging, and humorous (when appropriate). Reach out to me today if any of this resonates for you!

My Approach
On this journey the relationship between therapist and client is essential. For that reason, my first priority as a clinician is cultivating our relationship. I strive to help you feel safe, heard, and supported. I will begin to understand your goals and what is bringing you in. From there, we will formulate a treatment plan based on those goals.
In general, my approach is both cognitive and somatic, both top-down and bottom-up, because I know trauma and stress affect both the mind and the body. I also know that our bodies often hold more wisdom than our minds, and that our culture does not honor connecting with the body. I assist clients in exploring the wonderful resources our bodies and nervous systems can be.
Your treatment plan may include EMDR, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic techniques, and other experiential therapy techniques. I also love to bring in art, writing, music, and psychodrama at times, depending on the person’s willingness and comfort level.
